Switzerland-based industrial engineering and manufacturing firm Sulzer will supply 69 pumps to Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering (DSME).
The pumps will be installed on new floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel for Inpex-operated Ichthys LNG project in Browse basin offshore Western Australia.
Scheduled for delivery in phases between mid-2013 and mid-2014, various API 610 pumps, including OH3, BB2 and BB5 type will be supplied for topside and hullside process and utility applications aboard the 335m vessel.
Suzlon said 40% of the pumps, which will be made from various locations within its global manufacturing network, will be packaged at its Busan facility in South Korea.
Project management and unit testing will be undertaken by Sulzer Pumps South Korea, while offshore commissioning and servicing will be covered by Sulzer Pumps Customer Support Services based in Western Australia.
