STW will utilize Aquatech’s mobile technology line that includes products such as MoTreat, a suspended solids separation, filtration, and disinfection unit, and MoVap, an evaporator / distiller to provide water reclamation to producers in the Marcellus Shale region of Pennsylvania.
The water treatment units are designed to utilize a water evaporation technology to save oil and gas production companies up to 50% of the cost of handling contaminated water and returning treated water to the oil & gas operator for reuse.
These mobile units that can be moved from site to site address challenges that oil and gas companies face regarding the handling of waste water by treating the water on-site, thus reducing expenses associated with the transportation and remote processing or disposal.
Aquatech vice president of industrial solutions Devesh Mittal said that the combined oil and gas industry experience of STW and Aquatech will provide customers with cost effective and reliable water treatment solutions at drilling sites.
