The equipment supplied by Struthers Wells is intended to assist Qatargas in maintaining production levels of its Qatar Gas-1 liquefied natural gas (LNG) project; increase the capacities of onshore processing facilities to meet additional volume, and increase the rate of gas feed.
The Qatar Gas-1 project consists of three trains at Ras Laffan, and has a combined production capability of 10 million tons per year.
The thermal reactor furnace and waste heat boiler will be shipped as a single unit, and the steam drum will be field attached to the waste heat boiler to aid the efficiency of field construction.
