The township will fund this lighting retrofit project with the help of the Conservation Works grant it received from the DEP through the Federal Government stimulus package with the EPA to meet the its objectives to increase security and conserve 25% of all energy used.

Under this project, anticipated to be completed by the end of November in 2010, Stouch Lighting has already replaced (40) 175W metal halide fixtures with (29) 70W LED recessed troffer fixtures in the parking garage to reduce energy consumption by 75%.

In addition, the company will be replacing (43) 175W metal halide pole lights with (43) 53W LED parking lot fixtures to increase the light levels in the parking lot and result in a projected energy savings of 70%.

The LED fixtures being installed in the parking garage and in the parking lot have a rated life of over 50,000 hours and are maintenance free with no lamps or ballast to replace and include a five year total fixture warranty.
