To be deployed with Qatargas’ Emergency Pipeline Repair System (EPRS), Stats will design, manufacture, test and supply a new range of Remote Techno Plugs.

The EPRS is for production facilities the Arabian Gulf’s North Field from where the gas is transferred to its export base in Laffan City.
Installation of the remote techno plugs will provide necessary isolation at the site.

And in case of any damage a safe environment that allows quick and effective repair on subsea pipelines.

Stats Group chief executive officer, Pete Duguid said, "Qatar is investing billions of dollars in developing a world class gas supply infrastructure and the operators are focussed on providing the highest standards of integrity across their assets. We are pleased to be able to support Qatargas in establishing a benchmark for other global EPRS projects."

UK-based Stats will be hiring additional manpower to cater to the contract that is both first and significant in the Middle East.
