The energy firm said it has also cleared a path for full energisation of the wind farm.
A further six turbines are at the mid tower stage and installation of another turbine is yet to get underway.
SSE director of generation development Paul Cooley said: “It is fantastic news that we have manged to energise Dunmaglass Wind Farm this week and that’s down to a big push from all involved on the site and the professionalism of the project team.
"We are very pleased to be in this position with the site now capable of providing electricity.”
Turbine delivery to the wind farm started in May this year. SSE said favourable Scottish weather has allowed to carry out the work in a smooth manner.
The wind farm is expected to start full operations in early 2017.
The wind farm is 700m above sea level abnd each wind turbine can produce up to 2.85MW of electricity.
The turbines have been specially designed by GE to ensure that they meet the required planning conditions which state that the maximum tip height should not be more than 120m.
SSE acquired the wind farm from Renewable Energy Systems Group in 2013. It is located on Dunmaglass Estate, near Loch Mihor in the Monadhliath Mountains some 25km south of Inverness in Scotland.
