Sonnenbatterie has selected Ideal Power's power conversion systems for commercial energy storage solutions.
Sonnenbatterie will integrate Ideal Power’s power conversion systems with its commercial system. The systems use Power Packet Switching Architecture (PPSA).
Ideal Power’s PPSA is claimed to enhance the size, cost, and reliability of electronic power converters. It is capable of scaling across various industries such as solar photovoltaic generation, electrified vehicle charging, and commercial grid storage.
Initial products are due to be delivered this month. The first product from Sonnenbatterie for the North American market will be based on 30kW and 24kWh solution.
It creates energy storage systems from 24kWh to 240kWh. They will be used to reduce demand charge for commercial and industrial customers.
