The project, pending permitting, engineering and financing, is estimated to generate up to $28m in revenue once completed.
Solar Park Initiatives CEO David Surette said that the company continues to search for solar energy opportunities that fit into its business model.
"This project in Ontario is a good fit with our business plan and we anticipate it being one of many successful upcoming projects in North America," Surette said.
Solar Park Initiatives said it intends to develop land for large utility scale solar photovoltaic projects.
