The company will develop, build and sell both ground- and roof-mounted photovoltaic power plants.
PV CIStems will combine Belectric’s EPC and project development experience with Solar Frontier’s deep panel know-how to provide turnkey solutions using high quality components for solar power generation.
Solar Frontier Europe managing director Wolfgang Lange said the new joint venture not only combines extensive experience of leading EPC Belectric with the company’s deep know-how, but also benefits from synergies in terms of market coverage.
PV CIStems will be headquartered in Gruenwald near Munich, Germany, and will operate in Germany.
The joint venture is subject to cartel approval.
Solar Frontier is a solar EPC and a manufacturer of CIS thin-film solar modules.
