Canada-based construction firm SNC-Lavalin has bought local consultant Groupe Qualitas, which has worked on a number of Canadian hydro power and other projects.
In a statement, SNC-Lavalin said the purchase of the Quebec-based company should help to accelerate its growth following sustained improvements in the past few years.
Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
SNC-Lavalin added that buying Groupe Qualitas ‘reinforces our expertise, enabling us to participate even more efficiently in construction and rehabilitation projects of all kinds’.
The key services offered by Groupe Qualitas are in geotechnology, environment, materials and pavement engineering.
