The project is part of a government mandated initiative to upgrade the existing power generation and distribution assets by deploying about 20,000 meters over the next two years.
Corinex will offer a next-generation island microgrid solution, which will address SKELEC’s existing problems and enhance the grid with new features and capabilities.
The Corinex solution equips advanced 40 Mbps broadband over powerline (BPL) technology into the network architecture.
The technology will exchange high-speed bidirectional information between the utility’s network operations center and the customer meter.
