Under the deal, Siemens will deliver, erect and commission control and instrumentation for the power plant.

Siemens managing director and chief executive officer Sunil Mathur said NTPC has been the company’s long-term customer and together it has delivered sustainable solutions for India’s power generation requirements.

"We look forward to more such partnerships in the future," Mathur said.

Apart from the latest deal, Siemens has also supplied equipments for three of NTPC’s super thermal power projects.

The developments include 3×660 MW super thermal power project at Nabinagar, Bihar; 2×800 MW super thermal power project stage-I at Gadarwara, Madhya Pradesh; and 2×800 MW super thermal power project stage-I at Lara, Chhattisgarh.
