Under the contract, the company will supply power island equipment, including two SGT6-5000F gas turbines, a SST-5000 steam turbine, and three SGen-1000A generators.
Long-term service for major components, including parts, outage services, program management, engineering support and diagnostic monitoring will also be provided as part of the contract.
Siemens Energy Solutions Americas senior executive vice-president Martin Tartibi said: "America’s energy revolution is accelerating the movement toward clean-burning, low-cost natural gas.
"As part of our partnership with CPV Valley Energy, Siemens’ expert technicians will provide service and maintenance that optimizes the performance of the equipment and maximizes the lifecycle of the plant."
Siemens’ Financial Services (SFS) division is financing $80m for the development and construction of the CPV Valley Energy Center, which is expected to serve more than 720,000 homes.
Siemens will manufacture the gas turbines and generators at its Charlotte Energy Hub in the US.
A joint venture comprising Skanska USA Civil Northeast, Burns & McDonnell Engineering, and ECCO III Enterprises will develop the facility.
The power plant is expected to start commercial operations in early 2018.
