China Mountain Wind Project, a subsidiary of RES America Developments and NV Energy received support from the Shoshone-Paiute tribes for the construction of a 400MW China Mountain Wind Project in Nevada, US.
The Shoshone-Paiute Tribes Business Council signed a resolution supporting the construction of the the project in the Twin Falls County, Idaho and Elko County, Nevada region.
China Mountain Wind will develop the plant on 30,000 acres of property owned by the Bureau of Land Management , the Idaho Department of Lands and private landowners.
The plant will be equipped with 400 wind turbines that are capable of producing up to 400MW of electricity.
According to American Wind Energy Association, the plant will be capable of generating energy sufficient to power more than 100,000 homes.
