Ibrahim bin Deemas, acting director of SEWA informed that this plant would receive electricity from various production plants, including Al Sajja, Al Hamria and Industrial Areas. The Al Taya power distribution plant would receive power from Al Hamria plant through four lines.

The construction of the distribution plant was based on advanced international specifications and comprises a large network of transformers with various capacities to supply power throughout the emirate.

In order to increase the power generation and enhance distribution, SEWA would commence operating its first gas turbine in Khor Fakkan from August. The turbine is valued at AED120 million and has a power generation capacity of 50-megawatt, Bin Deemas added.

To solve the power shortage problem faced by the public of the emirates from the past few years, SEWA focuses on two major projects to provide improved services.
