Select Energy Services is acquiring Lone Star, a salt water disposal facility in Colorado, US.
Lone Star currently holds a 37-acre property and salt water disposal facility in Weld County, in Denver-Julesburg basin and Niobrara Shale activity.
Select CEO John Schmitz said through the acquisition, Select will enter into salt water disposal services in the Rocky Mountain region and further enhance its regional water solutions division.
Currently, there are 23 rigs running within a 20-mile radius of the Lone Star property and therefore the new facility will be advantageous for operators in the region due to the current shortage of disposal facilities in Weld County, Select said.
US based Select is an oil and gas service company and is a provider of water solutions and environmental, well completions and intervention, and facilities engineering and construction services.
