From the beginning of September, Sea Installer will install the 32 MHI Vestas 8MW turbines on DONG Energy’s Burbo Bank Extension. The vessel is currently mobilising in Liverpool, preparing to handle the new large turbines.

SEA INSTALLER and her crew are ready for the next assignment, which will be yet another “first-mover” project for A2SEA. For the first time, the MHI Vestas 8MW turbines will be installed offshore. The turbines have arrived in Belfast, which will be load out port on the project.

Sea fastening for towers, nacelles and blades is currently being installed at the yard in Liverpool and SEA INSTALLER is scheduled to depart at the end of August, sailing towards Belfast. A2SEA is currently establishing a site office in Belfast.

The installation period is scheduled to last for approximately three months, after which SEA INSTALLER will continue to the next project, Race Bank for DONG Energy.
