The new electric sweeper will combine Schwarze’s regenerative air sweeper design with Enova’s 120kW electric drive system coupled with a hydraulic pump, and will use hydrogen produced by a solar electric array.

The electrically powered sweeper for the USAF that currently operates more than 100 Schwarze sweepers throughout the world will be produced at the Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Schwarze director of sales and marketing Raymond Massey said that the company is excited about the partnership and will sending over an A7000 for the project, and the hopes that this sweeper will become the standard Air Force spec for all sweeping applications.
