Ms Nyasulu will replace Pieter Cox, who has announced his intention to step down as chairman and director of the company. Mr Nyasulu has a 1.275% indirect interest in Sasol Oil, a subsidiary of Sasol.
The company has also appointed Juergen Schrempp as lead independent director. His role will include chairing the board when matters pertaining to Sasol Oil are dealt with at the Sasol.
