SAIC will also provide engineering, procurement and construction services for the Plainfield Renewable Energy biomass project under a fixed-price, date certain contract.
The biomass project, located on a 27-acre site in Plainfield, is owned by a subsidiary of Enova Energy.
The facility will have a capacity of about 37.5MW (net) and is expected to be completed by December 2013.
Electricity generated by the plant will be purchased by Connecticut Light & Power under a 15-year off-take agreement.
