Slovenia’s largest power producer, state-owned HSE and Germany’s RWE have signed a memorandum of understanding on the joint development of generation projects.
Initially focussed on projects in Macedonia and Slovenia, HSE and RWE have agreed to jointly express interest in the construction and operation of three large hydro power projects in Macedonia, one of which is a pumped storage facility. Engineers from Austrian utility KELAG, partly owned by RWE, will also be involved in the Macedonian development.
