The Memorandum was signed by Nikolay Shulginov, Chairman of the Management Board – General Director of RusHydro, Vladimir Pecheniy, Governor – Chairman of the Government of Magadan region, and General Manager, Corporate Technology Division of Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Koji Kadota.
Starting from 2013, RusHydro, Kawasaki Industries and the Government of Magadan Region are cooperating in determining feasibility of a liquefied hydrogen project in the Russian Far East. According to the signed document Kawasaki Heavy Industries will update the preliminary feasibility study for the project of a liquefied hydrogen production plant. In turn, RusHydro and the Government of Magadan region will provide support, necessary for the update. In particular, the Government of Magadan region will provide information on potential sites for the plant location.
