RMT has started construction on the 120MW Windstar project in Tehachapi, California, and the 10MW Kingman project in Mohave County, Arizona.
RMT will be responsible for engineering, procurement and construction of the civil and electrical balance of plant for both the facilities, including the erection of Gamesa 2MW wind turbines at both sites.
RMT chief commercial officer David Kutcher said that once completed, the two wind facilities will have the capacity to power approximately 35,000 homes annually.
The Kingman plant is expected to start commercial operation in the second quarter of 2011, while the Windstar plant is scheduled to come online in the fourth quarter of this year.
Western Wind is a mid-tier vertically integrated renewable energy production company.
