Requests for proposals for Consulting Engineering services for the design of the US$128M Puntilla del Viento dam concession project in central Chile's Region V are expected during the second half of this year.
The 650Mm3, 119m high dam would irrigate the upper area of the Aconcagua river basin, 20km northeast of the city of Los Andes in Region V.
Another dam concession project under review is the US$128M Punilla dam project to be built on the Ñuble river in Region VIII. The project is designed to more than double irrigation coverage to 66,000ha and support a 90MW hydroelectric facility.
