With the strong support of domestic and overseas exhibitors, the continuous concerns of visitors and media, and the collaboration of the organizer, PowerGen & Renewable Energy Indonesia 2017 is returning its 2nd edition on May 17-19, 2017 at the JIEXpo Kemayoran –Jakarta, Indonesia.
The ASEAN’s most comprehensive gathering of green power suppliers in Indonesia will be co-locating with INAGREENTECH, Solartech Indonesia, INALIGHT, Cable & Wire Indonesia, and Battery Indonesia. Reflecting on the resounding success of 2016 exhibition, GEM Indonesia as the organizer of the exhibition will expand the scale of area up to 35% and the show is expected to attract 25.000 profesionals from 30 countries. The comprehensive trade show will offer grand opportunities, innovation, and solution which include powergen, biogas, biomass energy, geothermal, wind
energy, and hydropower.
The President of Indonesia Joko “Jokowi” Widodo has asserted that the government will prioritize the development of environmentally friendly power plants to an additional 35.000 MW of electricity. Moreover, the government has also set the target of the use of renewable energy at the minimum 23% in 2025.
Therefore, Baki Lee as the director of GEM Indonesia stated that PowerGen & Renewable Energy 2017 is expected to be the exhibition which is able to be the bridge and to support the government program. He also added that in 2017 GEM Indonesia launches a new event entitled Indonesia Solar Energy Forum 2017. The event aims to gather the governments, expertists, researchers, and the companies to present and discuss current issues, latest innovation, and technology related to PV Solar.
