Under this agreement, Power Efficiency and the Interplex Group will work together on energy efficient product development, manufacturing and sales, including introductions to Asia’s manufacturers and OEMs of elevators, escalators and related components.

The collaboration will also include the development of new products utilizing Power Efficiency’s patented E-Save Technology that is used in Power Efficiency’s 3-phase Motor Efficiency Controllers and is claimed to reduce electric motor energy usage by up to 35% in appropriate applications.

While Power Efficiency’s 3-phase motor efficiency controllers can be used in escalators, elevators, conveyors, mixers, grinders, crushers, granulators and shredders, its 1-phase motor efficiency controller has been designed for use in household appliances like washers, dryers and refrigerators.

Power Efficiency chairman and CEO Steve Strasser said that this agreement gives Power Efficiency access to the Asian market and the ability to offer its E-Save Technology platform and suite of motor efficiency controllers to the fastest growing and largest markets for elevators and escalators.
