The new station is expected to provide the Finger Lakes area with easy access to environmentally friendly, affordable propane autogas.
Roland Penta president of Phelps Sungas said the propane autogas is a clean, cost-effective and domestically produced vehicle fuel which is being used in fleets across the country.
Autogas powered vehicles produce significantly fewer harmful greenhouse gas emissions including 20% less carbon monoxide, 40% less nitrogen oxide and 12% less carbon dioxide.
"Not only do vehicles running on autogas experience lower fuel costs, the up-front expense of implementing autogas fueling infrastructure is significantly lower than that of other alternative fuels — making it a much more viable choice for going green while saving some green," said Penta.
