PGE partnered with US Bancorp Community Development, ProLogis, and several Oregon companies on the project, which is estimated to generate 60,000 hours of family-wage electrical and roofing work in Oregon. Northwest Solar Solutions, a division of locally-owned Snyder Roofing, is the installer for this project.
The solar project, which will increase PGE’s solar capacity in resource mix to 14.3MW, including 104kW solar highway demonstration project with the Oregon Department of Transportation and more than 10.7MW of customer-owned solar projects PGE supports through its net metering, will help the utility meet the state’s renewable energy target of providing 25% renewable energy by 2025.
Other partners on the project, which has secured $2.3m in incentives from Energy Trust of Oregon and funding from PGE’s Clean Wind program, include PV Powered, Frahler Electric, and Tonkon Torp.
