In his new role, Mr Conway will be responsible for the safe, efficient and reliable operations of Diablo Canyon power plant (DCPP) and will serve as the lead contact with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations. He will report to Mr Keenan.

Mr Conway currently serves as interim chief nuclear officer and DCPP site vice president. Before coming to the Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PGE) in May 2007, he was site vice president of the Monticello nuclear plant in Minnesota.

Jim Becker, currently vice president and station director of DCPP, will assume the position of site vice president. A 25-year veteran of Diablo Canyon, Mr Becker will be responsible for the plant’s day-to-day operations and will report to Mr Conway.
