In this role, he will be responsible for managing maintenance and construction activities for the utility’s gas and electric transmission systems and electric distribution substations.

Mr Martinez will report to Geisha Williams, senior vice president for energy delivery at Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E). Mr Martinez brings nearly three decades of utility and operations experience to PG&E, most recently serving as vice president of operations for Entergy Louisiana.

In that capacity, he oversaw the company’s distribution operations in Louisiana and led the company’s restoration efforts after hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

Prior to that, Mr Martinez served in various leadership roles in Entergy’s global operations, including vice president of strategic initiatives, as well as developing the company’s operations in Argentina, the UK and Australia. His previous experience includes management and engineering roles with Louisiana Power & Light.
