Pepco Energy Services has won a $3.9m energy savings performance contract from the Franklin County Housing Authority in the US.
The company said it will install a variety of energy and water saving measures, including new heat pumps, which will save the housing authority more than $5.4m over the 15-year contract term.
The project is expected to result in an energy reduction of approximately 60%, and the housing authority will reduce greenhouse gas emission by an estimated 730 metric tons of carbon dioxide per year.
Construction on the project is expected to be completed in April this year.
Pepco Energy Services provides commercial, institutional, government and industrial customers with energy efficiency services, including renewable energy and combined heat and power.
