Site earthworks are currently underway in preparation for the construction of the central processing plant (CPP), administration facilities and main access roads.

Peninsula executive chairman Gus Simpson stated, "Peninsula has now drawn down on the debt facility and is accelerating all permissible construction prior to the issuance of the SML."

The site works follow a four-year permitting process to ensure that the RPA meets the stringent criteria of local, state and federal regulatory agencies.

Additionally, the earthworks will allow RPA to quickly construct the CPP following approval of the Source Material License from the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission, which is expected in March 2014.

Production at the Lance uranium project is likely to begin in the second half of 2014 and is subject to the necessary regulatory approvals and financing.
