Under the $90m contract, Subsea 7’s Mexican joint venture company will engineer, fabricate, and install an 8km long pipeline, related risers, two slug catchers, and two cantilever structures for the Line 67 project in the Bay of Campeche, Mexico.
Subsea 7 Gulf of Mexico vice president Ian Cobban said the company’s Mexican arm has won its second contract in Mexico.
"We look forward to delivering the project in a safe and timely manner, and in so doing, strengthening our relationship with Pemex," Cobban added.
Offshore operations are scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2013, while pipelay activities are planned in the fourth quarter of 2013.
The pipelaying activities will be performed using Seven Borealis pipelay crane vessel.
Subsea 7’s Mexican joint venture offices in Ciudad del Carmen and Houston will perform the project management and engineering work.
