The scheduled expansion is expected to be completed by March 2013 with the enhanced production expected to meet the rising demand for biodiesel.

Paseo’s facility currently generates 40 million gallons of biodiesel and 30 million pounds of food-grade glycerin per annum employ soybean oil as primary feedstock.

Commenting on the partnership Cargill grain and oilseed supply chain North America business unit leader Mark Stonacek remarked that the company alongside MSA and Paseo had worked together for four years to develop a network to serve major petroleum retailers in the country.

Missouri Soybean Association executive director and CEO Dale Ludwig added, "The business model has been ideal. Co-locating the biodiesel plant next to a soybean crushing facility reduces cost, saves time and money while working with three great partners."
