With the oil and gas industry in the US enjoying a tremendously profitable renaissance, On the Move Systems (OMVS) is exploring the addition of oilfield transportation services to its growing slate of online travel and transportation options.

New drilling technologies have led to an unprecedented boom in energy exploration and production in the United States, and in Texas, in particular, where the Eagle Ford shale formation has become one of the biggest natural gas plays in world history.

Today, America has become the world’s largest producer of natural gas, and it places third in oil production, just behind Saudi Arabia and Russia. Shale production has launched corresponding booms in pipelines and railroads. It has expanded the oil and gas industries by an estimated 600,000 workers.

In order to capture some of the enormous growth being generated by the oil and gas industry, OMVS is working to partner with or acquire companies capable of providing comprehensive oilfield transportation services, from trucking to rail to intermodal shipping.

"This is a growing industry that requires a lot of niche transportation services, and we plan to position OMVS to provide them," said OMVS CEO Robert Wilson.

By forging strategic partnerships with cutting-edge travel and transportation providers, OMVS plans to build a network of niche services that will soon comprise its forward-looking online booking portal.
