The 1000kV Ximeng-Shandong UHVAC transmission project has been put into commercial service after 72 hours’ commissioning operation.

The Ximeng-Shandong project is the first UHVAC transmission project in Northern China. It contains three newly constructed substations in Ximeng, Langfang and Jinan respectively, and one series compensation station in Chengde. The completion of the project will solve the power shortage in Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei and Shandong Provinces, and helps improve environment in Northern China.
In this project, NR supplies UHV protection devices and integrated automation system with CT/VT supervision function. All the devices have passed 9.0 seismic tests to ensure the safe operation during earthquake. From system analysis to site commissioning, NR’s strict quality control throughout the whole lifecycle of project guarantees zero-defect products and zero-abnormal operation.
