Norwegian small hydro can double output

20% of capacity available

New calculations by the Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Administration (NVE) have shown that small hydroelectric power stations can produce twice as much energy as previously believed. Small plants should be able to cover up to 20% of current Norwegian demand, according to an NVE statement.
