Newera said it hopes to identify discrete uranium prospective channels at the base of the black shale units underlying the alluvial flood plain cover.

The company will collect gravity data within the E09/1193 tenement using a 100 metre collection point spacing on SW-NE lines 1000 metres apart resulting in 1,093 collection points.

More recent drilling by Newera produced low grade results between 30 metres and 70 metres depth.

Historical exploration has identified high grade uranium mineralisation at 50 metres depth in a number of wide spaced drill holes within the project leases.

The identified mineralisation which is seen occuring towards the base of an extensive and relatively thick black shale unit has established little pattern to date.
