FPL plans Oaklahoma's largest wind farm
FPL Energy has begun construction on the 71 turbine Weatherford Wind farm just west of Weatherford, Oklahoma. At 106.5 MW, the output from the plant will be sold to American Electric Power-Public Service Company of Oklahoma under a 20 year contract. The facility is expected to begin commercial operations this spring and will be Oklahoma’s third major wind farm, and its largest.
