Voith Riva Hydro of Italy and Voith Hydro of Germany, have concluded an alliance with French company ESAC Energie concerning the market for mini hydropower stations.
The alliance incorporates a licence agreement granted by the Voith Group, covering the complete range of small hydraulic turbine technologies, with exclusive and non-exclusive rights for ESAC Energie on certain areas of the world. The exclusive part of the agreement covers projects located in member countries of the alliance, French-speaking communities, the UK and Poland. The exclusivity also covers international mini hydro projects where the developers or investors are located in any of these countries.
As part of the agreement Voith Riva Hydro also acquired a minority interest in ESAC Energie’s share capital, with one seat on its Board of Directors.
