The Netherlands company NedWind hopes to supply 59 wind turbines to projects in China once these have received the approval of financial support from the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The turbines are destined for two sites. One, in Xinjiang, will receive 51 turbines while the second, in Inner Mongolia, will house the remaining eight units.

Each turbine has an output of 500 kW, a rotor diameter of 46 m and a tower height of 46 m. Nominal capacity is reached at wind speeds of 14 m/s. The units will continue to operate at full output up to 25 m/s. The deal is worth $23 million.
