Panu Kopra, vice president of Baltic, Polish, and Russian Operations at Neste Oil, said: “The new station is part of our program to strengthen our position on the Russian market by expanding our station network.”

The new station features a store and car wash and coffee shop facilities, together with a forecourt, and will employ 15 people. Veliky Novgorod has a population of over 200,000 and is located some 250km from St. Petersburg and 550km from Moscow.

Neste Oil’s network in Russia includes 41 service stations and 13 unmanned stations. Reliability, quality products, and a high standard of service are central to the company’s competitiveness in Russia.

In addition to its home base in Finland, Neste Oil is a major retail supplier of petroleum products in Northwest Russia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Poland. The company has operated in these markets since 1990 and currently has a total of some 300 stations.
