Under the contract, TriEco Tetra Tech will provide hazardous material and waste management services across Texas, Mississippi and Louisiana.
Commenting on the deal, NAVFAC Southeast environmental engineer Elizabeth Moses said that the contract will assist NAVFAC Southeast in providing continued environmental compliance support to Navy and Marine Corps installations across the Southeast.
"The contract will provide technical expertise in meeting hazardous waste, pollution prevention, and Emergency Planning and Community Right to Know Act regulatory requirements," added Moses.
NAVFAC noted that the contract will facilitate support for environmental program management such as Resource Conservation and Recovery Act requirements; hazardous waste; solid waste; regulated medical waste; pollution prevention; polychlorinated biphenyls; asbestos-containing materials; lead-based paint; unexploded ordnance and the operational range program; low level radioactive waste; and other miscellaneous environmental programs.
In addition, the contract includes provision of assistance such as on preparing studies, permitting, planning, design work, specifications, reports, cost estimates and performance of all associated engineering services.
