MVV Energie has strengthened its position in the Czech Republic after the recent takeover of four district heating grids in the north of the country.

Matthias Bruckmann, the member of the municipal utility group’s executive board responsible for this area, said: The company will therefore also be reinforcing the management of its Czech subsidiary. The existing managing director, Vaclav Hrach, whose contract has been prematurely extended for a further five years, will be joined by Dr Thomas Severin, as a second managing director responsible for the technical division and for energy services. The two directors will focus on the further growth of the company.

The restructuring of our MVV Energie CZ subsidiary has been successfully completed and we now aim to achieve consistent further expansion in our market share, he continued.
