The project has been installed on a carport structure at American Public University System (APUS) headquarters in Charles Town.
SolarWorld has supplied 1,671 solar panels for the system which is expected to supply 50% of energy requirements of APUS 100,000ft2 Financial Center.
The project is also expected to supply power 15 charging stations for electrical and hybrid vehicles.
