The provincial authorities in Vietnam's Dac Lac province say they plan to construct six more hydroelectric power plants on the Srepok river in order to develop the province's economy, according to the Vietnamese News Agency. Two hydro plants have so far been constructed on the river.

The first of the new plants, Srepok 3 and 4, will have installed capacities of 137MW and 33MW each. The remaining four plants will be built in Dac Lac province’s Krong Nu, Cu Jut, Buon Don and Krong Ana districts. The Srepok river is a tributary of the Mekong river, rising in the Chu Yang mountains.
