At an approximate price of $119 per barrel as per CIF (Capital International Funds) Europe, the sale represents a 34% premium to prevailing crude oil prices.
The company expects to make further sales of Jatropha-based biodiesel after the 2010/2011 harvest season.
Mission CEO Nathan Mahalingam said the acreage cultivated by its farmers is expected to produce an estimated 20 million barrels of sustainable non-food oil supply, over the next 30 years.
"If sold at the same price, the market value of our Jatropha oil supply is over $2.4bn," Mahalingam said.
Mission claims that this shipment, comprising 444 barrels of unrefined Jatropha oil, was three times the size of its last Jatropha oil sale.
