The project, located near the town of Galva in Henry County, is under construction and will include 50 units of GE 1.62MW turbine.

Bishop Hill II is expected to commence commercial operation in the fourth quarter of this year.

Electricity generated by the project will be purchased by Ameren Illinois pursuant to a 20-year power purchase agreement.

Bishop Hill II is the second phase of Invenergy’s Bishop Hill Wind Energy Center and the first phase, Bishop Hill I, is also under construction in Henry County and will begin commercial operations in 2012.
