Scheduled to enter service in 2016, the power plant will be constructed in Domo de San Pedro, Nayarit state in midwest Mexico and will be Mexico’s first geothermal power generation project developed by a private company.

The contract has been secured by MHPS through Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems de México, (MHPS-MEX), a business base of MHPS in Mexico.

Under the contract, MHPS will be responsible for engineering, manufacture, procurement and installation of major components, including the steam turbine, and balance of plant (BOP), as well as civil engineering work and commissioning.
