The company has acquired a 100 million cubic feet per day (mmcf/d) cryogenic processing plant, a 75 mmcf/d refrigeration processing plant, about 28,000 horsepower of compression, and a partially constructed NGL pipeline.

MarkWest chairman, president and CEO Frank Semple said that the Langley processing facility and NGL pipeline will expand the company’s midstream capabilities in the Marcellus and Huron/Berea shales.

MarkWest and EQT have also signed a long-term deal under which MarkWest will provide processing services for EQT’s Kentucky Huron shale gas and will extend its existing agreement with EQT to provide NGL transportation, fractionation and marketing services.

EQT is an integrated energy company with emphasis on Appalachian area natural gas production, gathering, transmission and distribution.
